[A leading statement. Pearl doesn't want to assume that the girl is in the same position that she is, but it would make sense. Whoever is 'employing' them may not always pick and choose those most worthy.

[Well, she was more referring to her job and responsibilities back home which involved helping people. Still, she's not going to clarify at this point.]

...I'm not sure I'd call them 'duties'. It's a bit complicated but I can fill you in on what we've learned so far?

[Pearl isn't used to having to rely on humans. Took her long enough to warm up to Greg and she saw him daily for years though that was a complicated relationship from the start.]

Well. You know how in the presentation they were talking about Flamines, right? Recently, a we've started to wonder if they even exist. Now one's seen them before and when some people went on a tour of Ceres' facilities they couldn't find any mentions of Flamines in any of the books.

We also know that Ceres is spying on us. At this point, we're pretty sure we can't trust them.
